A monthly program led by HMEI Environmental Fellow and Blue Lab postdoctoral scholar Jayme Collins, the Environmental Stories Listening Club convened from 2022-2023.
The listening club met monthly to listen to and discuss longform audio stories and podcast episodes that connect with Blue Lab’s work. In its first year, the club listened to a wide range of environmental stories on subjects ranging from forest activism and the logging industry in the Pacific Northwest to a retrospective account of Hurricane Katrina and the environmental histories of New Orleans.
The program was open to Princeton researchers and students who are interested in immersive environmental storytelling and the craft of audio narrative.
